SANDPOINT — It’s no surprise that businesses today are inundated with cardboard. So, it wasn’t a surprise when Panhandle Special Needs, Inc.’s Work Services started recycling that cardboard that they were inundated with business.

Thus, the need for a new truck. PSNI extends its heartfelt gratitude to Harry Morrison Foundation, Innovia Foundation and the Idaho Community Foundation for their incredible support, totaling $54,500 in grant funding, that enabled them to purchase a new 2026 GMC truck.

In addition to the new vehicle, these grants allowed PSNI to acquire new equipment for our school-based work programs and complete much-needed upgrades to our program technology.

These investments directly support our mission to promote independence, skill development, and community integration for individuals with disabilities throughout Bonner and Boundary County. Each improvement strengthens our ability to provide meaningful employment experiences and prepare participants for success beyond our programs.

“We are incredibly thankful to Harry Morrison Foundation, Innovia and ICF for believing in our mission and investing in opportunities that empower the people we serve,” said Executive Director Trinity Nicholson. “Their support helps create pathways to independence and inclusion that truly change lives.”

Panhandle Special Needs is proud to partner with these grantors and deeply appreciates their continued commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Panhandle Special Needs, Inc. is the only adult developmental disability agency in Bonner and Boundary counties, helping individuals to achieve their highest level of independence.
